The National Truckers Association has partnered with USIS to provide members with a complete drug and alcohol testing program that meets DOT Regulations.

Our Partner USIS:

For 25 years, USIS has serviced the drug/alcohol testing and pre-employment screening needs of trucking companies across the nation. Because of our long history in the trucking industry, USIS has developed a unique level of knowledge in DOT compliance. Our dedicated staff continuously monitors new and existing regulations, and communicates this information to association members on a regular basis. USIS provides a depth of knowledge in federal regulations and a client service department highly skilled in assisting NTA Members that sets us apart in the industry.

Services:

DOT-Compliance Drug & Alcohol Testing Program:

  • Meets all DOT requirements for a drug and alcohol testing program
  • Includes pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up testing

SAMHSA-Certified Laboratories:

  • Nationwide network of leading labs that are SAMHSA-certified (formerly NIDA)
  • Follow all DOT guidelines for test analysis, which are continuously evaluated in order to retain SAMHSA certification

Certified Medical Review Officer:

  • Annual re-evaluation to ensure statistical validity and confirm that the program meets the annual percentages required for drug and alcohol testing

24-hour Emergency/Post-Accident Assistance:

  • Access via toll-free number 24-hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Client service representative helps determine whether testing is required
  • Set-up collection and alcohol testing appointment and dispatch a mobile testing unit if necessary
  • Set-up of drug and alcohol tests as needed

Testing Supplies:

  • Split specimen bottles
  • Pre-printed federal chain-of-custody forms
  • Overnight shipping supplies

Collection and Alcohol Testing Sites:

  • More than 3,500 collection and alcohol testing sites available throughout the United States
  • Toll-free referrals to collection and alcohol testing site in your area

 

Costs:

Enrollment Plans: $168 or $99 for Owner Operators

  • Includes Sample Company Policy on CD (along with record-keeping forms; not required for owner operators)
  • Employee Educational Packet that meets DOT requirements (not required for owner operators)
  • Annual subscription to the monthly newsletter
  • Toll-free access to client services and referrals to alcohol testing technicians and collection sites

Annual Renewal Fee: $99

  • Retains your company in the program outlined above
  • Renews annual newsletter subscription
  • Provides updates to regulations

Per-drug Test Price: $28.00

  • Split specimen drug testing supplies with federal chain-of-custody form
  • Overnight transportation of specimens to laboratory
  • SAMHSA-certified laboratory 5-panel test and GC/MS confirmation
  • MRO Services
  • Additional charges for collection vary

Testing through DAC/STA entitles you to:

  • Computer-generated random selections at no charge **
  • Random record maintenance at no charge **
  • Blind sample submissions to your laboratory at no additional charge**
  • Post-accident service – 24-hours a day, 365-days a year
  • Electronic Results Reporting – 24-hours day, 365-days a year

Alcohol Testing Fees: Determined by the testing site

24-Hour Emergency Set-up Fees:

  • After hours set-up – $150
  • Post-Accident – $75 (during business hours)
  • Drug Test – $64.95
  • Alcohol Test – $44.95
  • Mobile charges and additional collection fees are passed from USIS to our client
